As a section of The Institution of Lighting Engineers (ILE) the Forum was formed to provide a source of knowledge, expertise and information on all aspects of lighting column specification, design, manufacture, supply, storage and installation together with many of the associated products, materials and treatments.

This site is intended to provide information on all aspects of the lighting column industry.

This site has an open section, which can be viewed by any interested party, and a Members area that is only available to paid up members of the Forum.

[More] Forum Meeting 15th April,2010 The Forum held its 34th meeting on 15th April at the ILE headquarters in Rugby. [More] PD 6547:2004 + A1:2009 CORRECTION An error has been discovered in PD 6547, Guidance on the use of BS EN 40-3-1 and BS EN 40-3-3 in Table A.1 which could affect column designs for Coventry. The error will be corrected by BSI in due course but read on for detailed information.
